I love Juliette Duncan's books, and this book was no exception. The is Harrison's and Zoe's story- we met Harrison in a previous book. I wasn't sure I was going to like him, but I LOVED him.Zoe got engaged to Harrison and loved him dearly, but after she rededicated her life to Christ, she started having doubts as to whether she was doing the right thing. Zoe was very close to her grandmother and her grandmother was a very spiritual, dedicated woman who was very close with Zoe and shared alot of scripture with her. She pointed out to Zoe how important it was that you marry the right person and have a shared faith. Zoe knew that she loved Harrison but she knew that Harrison had not accepted Christ into his life. This doubt kept running through her mind if she was making a mistake. Harrison wanted to get married sooner, but Zoe wanted to wait till she was done with her internship and give them some time to hopefully grow together.
At times Harrison tried to pressure Zoe for a more physical relationship, but Zoe remained true and stayed pure. Even though Harrison was disappointed, he did tell Zoe that he would respect her wishes.
Zoe's parents are in danger of losing their farm due to financial reasons and Zoe and Harrison went to visit them. Zoe ran into her Spencer, her ex-boyfriend, and realized how hurt she had been when they broke up. Seeing him and feeling like she did made her wonder if she was doing the right thing by marrying Harrison.
Harrison was very jealous of Spencer even though Zoe assured him that she loved Harrison and wanted to marry him. It was really interesting and very heart warming to watch Harrison's journey through his relationship and life with Zoe.
Without recapping the whole book, there are some twists and turns that I didn't see coming. This was a very heartwarming story and a good show of faithfulness, love, forgiveness and staying true to your faith. Juliette uses scripture throughout the story to reinforce our relationship with God.
There was a beautiful wedding at the end of the book but you will need to read it to find out if Zoe married Harrison or Spencer and whether or not Harrison ever found his way to know the Lord. You will be surprised and amazed at how the events unfold.
I have really enjoyed all of Juliette's books that I have read. Her characters come to life and are portrayed as people that I would love to know and have as friends. You won't be sorry with the purchase or any of her books!

Just can't wait for Juliette Duncan to release a new book. Purchased this book as soon as it was available. Juliette's book are always so well written and have a good Christian story that I can't wait to start a new book as soon as it is released. I am a member of her reading team but I purchased this one outright.
Zoe and Harrison are the two main characters of the book. It is the story of renewed faith and love in God. Harrison is unsure of himself and see no need for God or church. Zoe finds that she has taken her eyes off God but she desires to get her life back on track. Their romance and life is a little rocky. But, with God in control things have to work out. Don't they.
Great book. Great read. Can't wait until her next book is released. Hope my life has slowed down so I can start reading it before it is officially released! Thanks Juliette
Sweet, but somehow misses the point that u can have great passion with one another, not fulfill it until your wedding day, and continue that passion for the rest of your lives. It can be a huge driving force and still honor and remain true to our Lord. This is too cut and dried, sweet, but missing that love that is phenomenal and sparkles with all thein newness of time. Honestly?; I was disappointed !-
A true Christian Love story; you can't have a life in Christ without everyday "life" barging in, as Zoe & Harrison find out. Ms Duncan leads the reader, Zoe & Harrison through her story's characters. Grandma (don't be unequally yoked), Spencer, Mums, Dads, Sisters, Brother's in law, Peter, an entire community under siege of drought, the fire..You'll have to read to learn how all fit into the journey of life with Christ. And what an exciting journey it is!
This book immediately became MORE than a young woman wanting to remain chaste until she was married & much loved by a young man who wasn't necessarily convinced the importance of same.. Both are adults & raised in the importance of Faith; Zoe got busy with med school, fell in love with Harrison, a year of internship still ahead & was surprised with a proposal & engagement ring at Christmas. Harrison, a veterinary doctor, well established in his own right, loves Zoe with his whole heart, "religion" definitely not of importance to him, actually of the impression it was for the "weak." Ready to have Zoe with or without marriage although he definitely wanted to marry her.
Then REAL LIFE intervenes & Christ's "plan" begins to emerge, you the reader can see it, the characters not so much. And what a PLAN it is; you find IT touching your life of Faith as it weaves its way through the lives of Zoe, Harrison, et all.
You'll find it's hard to put it down once started. Read & Enjoy.
Juliet Duncan always deals with issues that are faced in everyday life.Harrison loves Zoe, but shortly after getting engaged Zoe rededicates her life to Christ and struggles with the realization that she may have made a huge mistake. She remembers many of the things her grandmother told her and the Scriptures she shared with her that indicate Christians should not be married to unbelievers. Zoe manages to keep their relationship pure despite Harrison pushing for more. Harrison watches the family continue to hold to their faith that
God will provide even when they seem close to losing everything. He is jealous of Spencer, Zoe's first love. This is a wonderful story of faith, forgiveness, redemption and the faithfulness of God. Juliette uses Scripture throughout the story to back up the reasons the believers stay firm in their beliefs. The wedding ceremony is beautiful. Read to find out who Zoe marries and will Harrison ever come to see his need for God. Thank you, Juliette for another wonderful read.
